Infertility

If a woman has had an abortion at least once before, then in the future, the likelihood of infertility increases. Sometimes abortion is performed at personal request or in order to preserve the health of the woman with abnormal development of the fetus.

Every woman has a certain number of eggs that are able to mature and fertilize. The ovarian count is determined during the period of intrauterine development of the female fetus. A low ovarian reserve can be caused by genetic, physiological, and medical factors.

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a glycoprotein gonadotropic hormone that is formed in the anterior pituitary. It is considered one of the main methods in the diagnosis of diseases of the reproductive system, not only of women, but also of men.

The sperm sometimes doesn’t contain the male germ cells. It also happens that the sperm obtained from the ejaculate are far from the best quality. Since the cells in the testicle have a lower fragmentation of sperm DNA, patients with certain indications undergo a testicular biopsy, a surgical procedure to extract germ cells.

Today we have access to in vitro fertilization supplements, which are aimed at eliminating problems from the male side. Indeed, sometimes, the quality of the sperm does not allow the sperm to penetrate the egg, even being just in one test tube.

The number of infertile married couples has been growing continuously for 20 years. There is an erroneous belief that most of them cannot have children due to the women’s health problems. But according to research, male infertility occurs no less than female infertility, in 50% of cases. Therefore, we do not have to underestimate men’s health problems.

IVF is one of the methods of the infertility treatment, which is absolutely legal in Ukraine and is regulated by the law. Nowadays, there are 34 center for reproductive medicine, which are aimed at the treatment of infertility in accordance with the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European society of human reproduction and embryology (ESHRE).

One of the main causes of male infertility is a low mobility of sperm cells and their poor quality. Unfortunately, in the modern world does not exist a method of infertility treatment, which would be able to solve this problem.

Female infertility is much more serious than the male one, since a woman’s reproductive system should not only produce a mature egg, but also create favorable conditions for conception and the entire pregnancy.
