Why do prices differ?

The difference between countries comes down to three factors: the level of compensation for the surrogate (which reflects the local market), the cost of medical and legal services at the specific partner clinic, and the scope of coordination and logistics. Ukraine and Georgia have historically been more affordable, while programs in other jurisdictions may suit parents for whom a different legal framework matters. We explain the exact conditions of each program during your free consultation.

What the program cost is made up of

The program price covers a complete set of services – medical, legal, and organisational – that you would otherwise have to source and pay for separately. Here are the main components that make it up.

Legal services

Contracts, notarised arrangements with the surrogate, securing parental rights, and preparing the child’s documents.

Medical procedures and IVF

Stimulation, IVF + ICSI, embryo culture, embryo transfer, and pregnancy management at the partner clinic.

Compensation for the surrogate

Monthly payments throughout the pregnancy, medical examinations, and support for the surrogate.

Donor cells (if needed)

Egg or sperm donation from a verified database – added only when your situation requires it.

Agency services and coordination

A personal client manager (coordinator and interpreter) accompanies you from the first call to your return home.

Administrative costs

Preparing the child’s documents, the apostille, notarised translations, and assembling the package for the consulate or embassy.

What is included in the price, and what is paid separately

The contract clearly separates the base package from possible additional “Extra” costs, which arise only in certain circumstances or at your request. This way you always understand what you are paying for.

✓ Included in the program

The base package, fixed in the contract

  • Legal support and a notarised contract with the surrogate
  • IVF + ICSI, culture, and one embryo transfer with medication
  • Cryopreservation and storage of embryos for 1 year
  • Basic PGD for 5 chromosomes for embryos from the IVF cycle
  • Monthly compensation and medical support for the surrogate
  • Pregnancy management, tests, and ultrasound monitoring
  • The services of an interpreter and a personal client manager
  • Accommodation for the first visit and housing for the surrogate from week 32
  • Preparing the child’s documents, translations, and the apostille

The exact composition depends on the program you choose (Care, Victory, Success, Guarantee).

+ Paid separately

“Extra” costs – only when needed or on request

The Guarantee program takes on most of the risk-related costs

Repeat IVF cycles, replacement of the surrogate, compensation for pregnancy or birth complications – all of this is already included in the Guarantee package, with no additional invoices. Items marked ✓ below are covered directly within this list.

  • Donor eggs or sperm (no surcharge with the Guarantee package)
  • Extended PGD 9/24 embryo testing
  • Repeat embryo transfer (no surcharge with the Guarantee package)
  • Surcharge for a live-born set of twins
  • Caesarean section (where applicable) (no surcharge with the Guarantee package)
  • Accommodation for the birth
  • Nanny services
  • Bank transfer (tax added)

The list of possible “Extra” costs is set out in a separate annex to the contract. Confirm the final cost of each item with your coordinator. Items marked ✓ are already included in the Guarantee program – the remaining items (accommodation for the birth, nanny services, and so on) are optional costs and do not depend on the program you choose.

What affects the final cost?

Two families rarely pay the same. Here are the factors that shift your estimate relative to the starting price.

The chosen jurisdiction

Effect on price

The price varies depending on the country where the program takes place – because of the level of compensation, the cost of medical and legal services, and logistics. Ukraine and Georgia are usually more affordable.

The chosen program

Effect on price

In each country VittoriaVita offers several programs – from basic to guarantee – with different scopes of service and levels of protection. The guarantee program costs more at the start but limits your financial risk. Compare programs →

The number of embryo transfers

Effect on price

A pregnancy from the first transfer keeps the cost at the base level. In standard programs, repeat transfers are paid separately, while in the guarantee package they are included without limit.

Donor cells

Effect on price

If your own gametes cannot be used, donor eggs or sperm are added to the program. The cost depends on the donor’s profile. View the donor database →

PGD and genetic testing

Effect on price

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD / PGT-A) allows embryos to be screened for chromosomal abnormalities. This is an optional service that adds a fixed fee to the total.

Twins or special cases

Effect on price

A multiple pregnancy (a €4,000 surcharge for a live-born set of twins) or a complex medical situation may involve additional compensation and care, which is discussed transparently before the contract is signed.

“We are very grateful to VittoriaVita for our daughter and for our little one on the way. Our journey began in April 2021, when we first contacted VittoriaVita. In July 2021, we traveled to Kyiv to sign the contract and provide our samples. Everything was very well organized, and we felt well taken care of.”

“We spent 10 years trying all methods of having children (IVF, egg donation) until eventually surrogacy was the only option left. Then we researched online where and by whom surrogacy is offered. After deciding on Ukraine due to the circumstances at the time, we came across Vittoria Vita online.”

“We had already been through a long journey of unfulfilled desire for children when we first heard about surrogacy. This was preceded by countless attempts to conceive naturally. When this repeatedly didn’t work, we tried several fertility clinics in our region. Methods such as artificial fertilization like IVF (in vitro fertilization) and ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) were used, and we hoped they would give us greater chances of carrying a child.”

Frequently asked questions about cost

Honest answers to the questions about price that parents ask us most often.

How much does surrogacy cost in total?

A full program at VittoriaVita starts from €44,000. The total depends on the country, the program you choose, and whether donor cells, PGD, or a guarantee package are needed. Payment is always divided into 4 stages: at signing, in the 3rd and 7th months of pregnancy, and when the child’s documents are prepared.

In which country is surrogacy more affordable?

Among VittoriaVita’s programs, the lowest starting price is in Georgia (from €44,000). But “more affordable” does not always mean “better for you”: much depends on the legal framework, your situation, and the requirements the country places on parents. During your free consultation we help you compare the options and choose the one that fits best.

What is included in the program price?

The base package covers legal support, IVF and medical procedures, compensation and medical support for the surrogate, accommodation, coordination, and preparation of the child’s documents. Donor cells, PGD, repeat transfers, and guarantee packages are separate items paid additionally.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. The program cost is fixed in the contract, and every possible “Extra” cost is set out in a separate annex before signing. Your coordinator explains each line, so there are no surprises.

How does payment work?

Payment is always staged – in 4 instalments tied to the key stages of the program. The first instalment is €15,000 – 19,000 depending on the country and program. Payments can be made in cash or by bank transfer (a 5% tax is added for transfers).

What happens to the price if the first attempt is unsuccessful?

In standard programs, a repeat embryo transfer is paid separately and discussed in advance. In the guarantee program, repeat attempts are already included, so an unsuccessful transfer does not increase your cost.
