Female infertility is much more serious than the male one, since a woman’s reproductive system should not only produce a mature egg, but also create favorable conditions for conception and the entire pregnancy.

Infertility is the inability of a couple to conceive a child during the year, during which a man and a woman had regular sex life and did not use contraception. This is a severe syndrome that affects about 20% of married couples in Ukraine.

Today medicine knows a lot of diseases of the female reproductive system. One of these is endometriosis. Let's take a look at what kind of disease it is, its causes, symptoms and treatment.

In medical practice the fertility specialists face situations when a woman, for various reasons, is not ready for implantation at the moment. Thanks to the laboratory cryopreservation procedure, the embryos can be transferred into the uterine cavity. Only high quality samples are frozen, so the chances of successful fertilization are increased.

Generally, infertility means inability to get pregnant after a year of unprotected sex. Women who are over 35 or with irregular menstrual cycles, those who are able to get pregnant but can’t bear a child to term because of pregnancy loss (miscarriages) might be also viewed infertile and should consult fertility specialist.

In cases if woman can’t get pregnant because of the total absence of ovulation, ovarian stimulation is prescribed. Usage of ovarian stimulation contributes to the normal functioning of ovaries after which nearly 60-75% of women successfully become mothers on their own.

ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) is usually conducted by male infertility caused by the reduction of the fertility ability of sperm cells. This method of infertility treatment promotes penetration of a sperm cell (previously selected on the basis of morphological and other characteristics) into an egg.

Each year surrogate motherhood becomes more and more popular kind of infertility treatment but on a proper level surrogacy process is debugged only in few countries e.g. Ukraine, the USA, Georgia, Israel etc.

Every family, planning to have a baby, are thinking about the gender of their future baby they will raise. Sometimes it happens, that happy parents of few daughters are dreaming about and hope that the next baby will be a son, and vice versa.
