How do I arrange embryo delivery to Georgia? What does it cost?
Embryo delivery to the Innova Invitro Clinic in Tbilisi is arranged and paid for by you — this cost is not included in the program price. We will help organize transportation through a certified carrier. Along with the embryos, you will need to provide medical documentation: a description of the embryos and your test results at the time of their creation.
What documents are required to participate in the program in Georgia?
You will need: passports of both spouses; a marriage certificate with apostille or legalization (issued no more than 6 months before the program start); a medical certificate confirming a health condition that prevents the wife from carrying a pregnancy. If your marriage is less than 1 year old, additional proof of cohabitation is required (such as joint property rights, a religious marriage certificate, a joint child’s birth certificate, or documentation of joint medical treatment).
What is the minimum number of embryos needed to start?
The program includes one transfer, but we recommend having at least 2–3 quality embryos to increase the chances of success. If the first transfer is unsuccessful, a repeat transfer can be arranged for an additional fee (€1,500 for existing frozen embryos). If you have more embryos than needed, they will be stored at the clinic for up to 1 year (included in the program).
What if there is only 1 embryo and the transfer fails?
There are several options. You can upgrade to the “Guarantee” program — your first payment is credited and you only pay the difference. If the embryos are fully exhausted, a new IVF + ICSI cycle can be arranged for an additional fee.
Can the program be started remotely?
Yes. You can sign the agreement remotely via a notarized Power of Attorney. An in-person visit is required at the time of the birth and for completing the child’s departure documents. The first visit to Tbilisi is recommended but can also be conducted remotely.
Is surrogacy legal in Georgia?
Yes. Surrogacy is fully regulated by the Law of Georgia on Health Care, which authorizes assisted reproductive technologies including surrogacy for married couples. The birth certificate is issued in the name of the biological parents. VittoriaVita has been operating surrogacy programs in Georgia with full legal compliance and has guided families from over 25 countries through this process.
Can embryos created at a clinic in another country be used?
Yes — that is exactly what the “Care” program is designed for. You bring your ready-made embryos and we handle everything else. You need to arrange transportation and provide a complete set of medical documents accompanying the embryos.
How does the "Care" program differ from others?
It is the most cost-effective program, designed for couples who already have their own embryos. It does not include the embryo creation stage (IVF), which is why the price is lower.
What guarantees do you provide?
We guarantee the high-quality delivery of all services specified in the agreement: surrogate mother selection, embryo transfer, and legal support. Medical success depends on embryo quality and individual factors, so additional attempts are charged separately.
What happens if the embassy refuses to issue travel documents for the child?
If the embassy in Tbilisi declines to issue a passport or travel document, we assist with obtaining a Georgian passport for the child to enable departure. This process may involve a lawyer and court procedures, which are provided for an additional fee. We keep parents informed and guide them through every step.
