After the nine months of wait and hopes, the most desired day finally comes – the day when your little miracle will see you for the first time – the day of the labour.
The intended parents as well as their surrogate mother need help and support before this exciting part of a surrogacy program. To prepare everything on time and to be present at the birth of a new life, intended parents usually come to Ukraine a week before the expected date.
As they are the real mum and dad, the intended parents surely have the right to be present at the birth and to be with their baby and the surrogate mother in the ward. From the very first days of the baby’s life, our doctors examine and monitor its health. Primary examination includes weighing, temperature measurement and examination for Fölling’s disease and hypothyroidism.
3 days after the delivery, the parents return to our comfortable mini-hotel with their newborn, where they can stay until their departure. Very often couples find the nursing rather difficult: they are not sure how to feed, bathe and care about the hygiene of their newborn correctly. If you experience any difficulties, our nurse and the pediatrician are ready to do everything possible to change all these troubles into a pleasant process of care.
Now that the parents already have their baby, another important stage of a surrogacy program awaits them. This is the visit to the Embassy. But there’s no reason to worry. Our lawyers prepare all the necessary documents to register the intended parents as the official parents in the baby’s birth certificate and then legalize them so that the parents can bring the child to their country. As a rule, this process takes from 2 to 3 weeks, after which the couple returns home, but this time being the happy parents of a lovely little wonder.
